Wolfe Creek Crater

View across Wolfe Creek Meteorite Crater, 850 metres in diameter and 50 metres deep; situated about 145 kilometres south of Halls Creek, it was formed around 300,000 years ago when a large meteorite smashed to earth here. Native trees now grow in the well preserved circular crater.
