The Kuku Yalanji dance group “Bamanga Bubu Ngadimungku” from Mossman Gorge in Far North Queensland performs at the Laura Festival. They depict different scenes: traditional healing, hunting and spearing a crocodile and the behaviour of a cassowary, a large flightless bird, as it walks and feeds and the typical “shake-a-leg” dances.
