Traditional dances by Aboriginal students from Djarragun College during Townsville Cultural Fest. They perform a dance from Yarrabah (an Aboriginal community near Cairns), sung in the local language (Gudanyji). This is followed by the “Crocodile dance”: two men are fishing and stalked and taken by crocodiles. After this the the “Cassowary Dance” about the large flightless bird from this region, followed by the fast “Three Beat” Shake-a-leg dance. After that they move off the stage.
