Girringun Festival in North Queensland

Aboriginal students from Djarragun College near Cairns perform a traditional dance during the Girringun Festival in Cardwell. They perform a “Creation Dance”, depicting the creation of all animals and the gathering of traditional medicine to treat snake bite. Video by Ludo Kuipers, Sun Oct 14, 2007
