The Atherton Tablelands, Far North Queensland
Mount Hypipamee Crater, also known as The Crater, a huge diatreme, a volcanic pipe opened upward through surface rocks by gas produced from molten rock below; it is located south-east of Herberton on the Atherton Tablelands. It is 61 metres in diameter and 82 metres deep.
