Aboriginal Initiation Ceremonies from Central Australia

Men with “witi” poles tied to their legs dance in front of boys undergoing their “kurdiji” initiation ceremony. This is the last display before women and children are sent away and the boys are circumcised, marking the transition from child to “young man”.
