Four small boys, painted up for a “Wungubal” traditional dance in Numbulwar, an Aboriginal community on the western Gulf of Carpentaria. They carry flags, apparently introduced by the Macassans, Indonesian fishermen, a century ago. This is typical for Numbulwar.
