Kingdom of Afghanistan 1928

In 1926 Amanullah was proclaimed King and two years later changed the national flag by modernising the arms. The mosque was retained in the middle of the black flag but a wreath made of two branches of laurel and oak replaced the octogram rays. The branches were tied with a ribbon placed below the mosque.
